Sod also known as Turf is a ready-made grass, that is brought over from a sod farm in a rolled shape. Growing Turf on a farm allows for perfectly controlled environment, where thick, strong, and healthy Turf can be created. Sod installation jobs are quoted per square foot. Our Sodding rates at Bachie Sealing include all labor involved in preparing the grounds, leveling the soil, and installing the turf. In addition, cost of sodding per square foot includes 1″ inch layer of Grow Max soil, freshly cut sod, and high quality fertilizer.

While our pricing schedule for Sodding in Toronto and GTA is quite standard, each garden and client is unique. We take the time to measure your property, evaluate the quality of soil, asses the level of weed infestation, Raccoon risk, etc’ – to provide you with the most accurate Sodding cost estimate – keeping in mind the importance to create sustainable turf around your house.

Once the sod is installed, the most important part begins – the watering. It is absolutely crucial to keep the lawn constantly moist for the first 14 days. That means watering it at least 2 times a day, and if possible – even more! The extensive watering schedule must be maintained during the first weeks after Sodding is done, until the roots take deeper into the ground, and are able to draw moisture deeper below the surface.
